Escaping the concrete jungle can be so alluring that even the most pragmatic person can fail to plan ahead by packing snacks, a map and instant lattes. Today's WagJags from WSC Survival Skills will save woodsy wanderers and accomplished adventurers from grumbling tummies:
- $19 for a wild edible plants hike for 1 person (a $99 value)
- $39 for a wild edible plants hike for 4 people (a $196 value)
Lace up your hiking boots and head into the wild with WSC Survival Skills. This fun and educational trek will instruct hikers about how to identity different species of plants, trees, shrubs, ferns and lichens. Hikers will learn about the the uses of wild species and how to distinguish poisonous and toxic species while wandering through a wooded area in Niagara, Hamilton or Toronto. Topics include safety and health concerns, ethics of plant foraging, species preferences and more. To help you learn the difference between friendly and not-so-nice plants, a field guide is included.
WSC Survival School is instructed by dedicated teachers who have the experience to back up what they teach. They offer a variety of programs and certificates in everything from backpacking, to winter camping, advanced survival skills and even log cabin building, just to name a few.
