Description
Along with getting a tan and showering outside in the sprinkler, going to a concert is a must-do summer activity. Score tickets with today's WagJag: $25 for a ticket to see Theory of a Deadman, Danko Jones and The Balconies perform on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Safari Niagara (a $48 value).
Formed in 2001, hard-rocking quartet Theory of a Deadman began their ascent to stardom when Chad Kroeger, lead singer of Nickelback, hand-picked them to be the first band on his freshly minted label 604 Records. Frontman Tyler Connelly became fast musical pals with Kroeger and the pair began penning songs together that would comprise their self-titled debut; naturally, the first single "Nothing Could Come Between Us" became a smash hit with heavy radio and MuchMusic rotation, and the rest is history. Fast forward 12 years: the band continues to hold prominence in the post-grunge scene and have just released Savages, their fifth studio album which features guest appearances from Alice Cooper and Joe Ron Dooney of Rascal Flatts. Catch them live on Friday, August 22 in Safari Niagara's 4,500-person amphitheatre, where they'll be joined by fellow canuck rock groups Danko Jones and The Balconies.
