It's not even halfway through summer break and the kids are already getting rambunctious, performing their own renditions of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" on top of the kitchen table and watching VeggieTales' Celery Night Fever on the daily. Kids get a full week of gospel-themed camps designed to foster creativity, build self-esteem and help them meet new friends while also learning about the gospel and its teachings. Each camp week runs daily from 8am to 4:30pm, before and after programs are available to make it effortless for busy working parents. The first camp week runs for four days and is themed "Wilderness Explorer (Moses)." The second and third camp weeks run five days from August 11th to 15th and 19th to 22nd with "Music Mania (King David)" and "Destination Paradise (Jesus)" themes respectively. Each camp day features drama, singing, dancing and art, allowing children the open space to channel self-expression, while games and sports encourage socialization. Kids bring their own nut-free lunch and snacks but prepare for an exciting potluck lunch on Friday with a stage performance for their parents.
Imagine Me is owned and run by Christene, a mother of three children and resident of Brampton for over 30 years. Christene is a teacher and works closely with her school, church and community with an avid interest in the arts and creative outlets, offering her expertise at the YMCA arts camp in Toronto and her local Parks and Recreation. Imagine Me offers a variety of camps for kids, sports, back-to-school camp and even volunteering opportunities for talented individuals. Imagine Me has been opened since 2014.
