Upon arrival in Iceland, you will exit the arrival hall of the Keflavik airport terminal to embark your Flybus Plus transfer to your hotel. Free time for the rest of the day.
Day 3: South Shore Adventure and Northern Lights Hunt
Breakfast at your hotel. Departure on the South Shore Adventure. Please be in the lobby by 08.15 for tour pickup.
Drive along the south coast of Iceland, one of the country's most scenic regions, as far as Vík, a charming village surrounded by beautiful high bird cliffs. Along the way, stop at the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss waterfall, which you can walk behind (weather and path conditions permitting). You will also stop at the majestic and much-photographed Skógafoss waterfall and visit the Skógar folk museum, to get a taste of how Icelanders lived in centuries past. Other highlights include views of the stunning Mýrdalsjökull glacier, the black sand coastline and the impressive Reynisdrangar rock formations
Northern Lights hunt:
Tonight take part in a guided northern lights hunt tour. On a dark winter night in Iceland, join a mysterious tour looking for the Aurora Borealis. Far from the glow of Reykjavik city, we hunt for the elusive Northern Lights. From autumn until spring, during clear and cold dark nights it's possible to witness one of nature's most incredible displays: the northern lights, also known as Aurora Borealis. On this evening tour you may be lucky enough to see them swirling and dancing across the sky changing endlessly their colour, shape and size.
*Please note that the northern lights hunt is only available between October 11, 2017 and April 11, 2018 inclusively. In the event that the Northern Lights have not been observed, a second evening will be offered the next day with no additional cost.
Day 4: Day for your own activities
Breakfast at your hotel. Today is open for you to enjoy visiting Iceland your way.
Day 5: The Golden Circle
Breakfast at your hotel. Enjoy an introduction to the best-loved natural wonders of Iceland. First, visit Thingvellir National Park, a remarkable historical and geological site which is located by Lake Thingvallavatn, the largest lake in Iceland. The beautiful canyon running through the park is actually the meeting point of two of the earth's tectonic plates. In this very area, the Vikings formed in 930AD what would become the world’s oldest and longest running Parliamentary government.
Day 6: Relax at The Blue Lagoon
Breakfast at your hotel. Morning departure on the Blue Lagoon tour. Unwind in the milky blue waters of the Blue Lagoon, surrounded by lava pure wilderness. Pick up at your hotel and guesthouse 30 minutes prior to departure. A bus will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Blue Lagoon. This is an unguided transfer.
After having enjoyed all the amenities of the Blue Lagoon, take one of the scheduled tour buses back Reykjavik. Overnight in Reykjavík.
