Highlights of the Course

Built in 1926 by renowned golf architect Stanley Thompson, the history of this course runs as deep as the Lake Simcoe waters that surround it. Today, the nine-hole, beachside course still retains parts of its original design.

Tips for Success on the Greens

Hole 9, a par 4 located only 295 from the back tees, appears easy from its elevated tee, but requires full concentration (don't get distracted by the views here). Orchard Beach recommends laying up 100 to 125 yards to allow for a full second shot at the green. Those tempted to hit the green right away run the risk of having to take a tough pitch out of the deep surrounding bunker. Favour your approach shot to the right side of the hole. When putting, examine your shot from all sides - there are a couple of sneaky breaks.

Get suited up in dapper, dress-code-congruent attire at the pro shop. Company or family golf tournies, both the rowdy and civilized kind, can be hosted within Orchard Beach's welcoming environment, while rounds are rounded off nicely with refreshments on the clubhouse deck or patio.
