Description
The pursuit of amusement becomes more difficult in the frigid Canadian winters - water parks transform into chilly and dangerous ice parks, and haunted houses are stalked by the twin demons of frostbite and hypothermia. Cast off the parkas and have some climate-controlled family fun with todays WagJag: for $20, you get a day pass for a family of four to Fantasy Fair, Ontario's largest indoor amusement park.
Children and their adult accompaniers can whirl, glide, and bump their way through nine full-size rides. Take a spin on the Ships Ahoy spinning teacups, lift off on the Fanstasy Flight balloon tower ride, or teach valuable defensive driving and insurance-info-exchanging skills on the bumper cars or bumper boats. Panoramic views can be had from the top of the 50-foot indoor Ferris wheel, or take a spin at a more Earthbound altitude on the 1911 antique Loof carousel. Other attractions include a three-story kids play village, midway carnival games, and the blinking, flashing fun of an arcade.
Safety is a paramount concern at Fantasy Fair, which is governed by the Technical Standards and Safety Association. All rides are subject to height restrictions which will be strictly enforced, and dedicated staffers rarely fall for the old one kid sits on anothers shoulders under a very long trench coat gag. Please note that the park is closed on Tuesdays until June.
