The Canadian Automotive Museum in Oshawa is Canada's only museum dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Canada's automotive industry. Their one-of-a-kind museum boasts a large collection of Canadian- and internationally-made automobiles, trucks and even motorcycles from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. Car enthusiasts learn all about the history and evolution of the automotive industry from the 19th century onwards. Some of the machines featured in their collection include the 1903 Redpath Messenger, 1912 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, 1932 Frances Barnett, 1950 Oldsmobile Futuramic, 1965 Amphicar and the infamous 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 (although this one won’t allow you to travel back in time). Once you’ve had your fill of groovy gadgets, head over to the gift shop to stock up on some memorabilia to commemorate your day.

- The Ontario Regiment RCAC Museum maintains Canada's largest collection of operational military vehicles
- Rebuilt, overhauled and completely refreshed by volunteers (with the generous support from members, visitor and patrons) during 2013-15, their permanent displays are better than ever
- You won't want to miss their brilliant displays of historical artifacts that tell the story of The Ontario Regiment and its soldiers over their 150 year history during both World Wars, the Cold War era, and modern times
- The museum also focusses on the of the Militia's evolution in Ontario County (now Durham Region) and Oshawa from the early 1800s to the present, highlighting the special historical relationship between Oshawa's industrial development, namely General Motors, and the Regiment
- The museum’s contains artifacts and stories detailing the military history of the Region of Durham and the development of the Ontario Regiment RCAC from independent rile companies in the 19th century to the Armoured Regiment it is today
- The Museum has released a new interactive exhibit that tells the story in augmented reality
- They have partnered with blippar, TalkingAncestors and Tanks-encyclopedia.com to bring the collection to life
- This is the first exhibit of its kind in Canada
- They are one of the few museums in the world to use this technology
- The museum is open Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday 12pm - 4pm; June 22nd museum is open 7 days a week 12pm-4pm until September 10th
