This Toronto-born, Juno-nominated singer is known for his smooth vocal style and penchant for classic jazz and pop standards. Dusk first rose to fame in 2004 when his second studio album, Two Shots, was released with the hit single, "Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad." He's since seen two of his records go certified gold in Canada and has had a string of pop and adult contemporary hits, making him one of the leading crooners in the country.
Victoria's very own Diane Pancel will be opening up the show. This award-winning singer/songwriter has a powerful and timeless vocal style that can be heard on her latest album, Introducing.
Matt Dusk is currently headlining his 2011 Back from Las Vegas world tour that makes a Victoria stop at the Alix Goolden Hall. The performance brings together a selection of classic big band tunes synonymous with the sounds of Sin City in a dazzling evening of song. The show was originally created for a high-definition TV special on New York's PBS in March 2011, entitled Matt Dusk: Live from Las Vegas. Inspired by the legends of Vegas, the event not only featured Dusk in concert, but also showed him sharing his personal stories with the audience. After the success of the program, Dusk embarked on a world tour with the newly-created act, exuding that classic Vegas charm to adoring fans across the globe. Don't miss out on this exclusive Matt Dusk performance!
