What You Get
In Chitwan National Park in Nepal, one of the best ways to enjoy the scenery and wilderness is to go for elephant riding lessons and take a tour on the back of one of the giant creatures. The ride is slow and steady, allowing you to take in all of the beauty around you. Likewise, a great way to enjoy the Sahara is by camel. Camels are familiar with navigating the dunes of the desert and your trek will be perfect. However, in Ontario, one of the best animals to travel with is the horse. Itâs also a good idea to start at a young age. If your child has never tried their hand at horseback riding, then todayâs WagJag is for you: $125 for 1 week of riding lessons, crafts and games at the March Break Day Camp at Willow Creek Riding Stables (a $250 value).
During the day camps, campers will learn how to ride and take care of their own horse or pony. They will participate in fun games that sometimes involve the horses, and there is also fun and creative crafts that the kids will work at and bring home.
Campers will also experience and learn about other farm animals like goats, pigs and more.
The camps run from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Early drop-off and late pick-up can be pre-arranged for a slight fee. Campers have to bring their own lunch. A fridge will be provided to keep food and drinks cold. Snacks will also be provided.
