What You Get
We are excited to bring you this one-of-a-kind event on April 20th (7pm - 9pm) from Table to Palate, a company that brings wine, people and food together for a fun interactive experience. We are pleased to have Wine Writer (and connoisier) Michael Pinkus of OntarioWineReview.com, Schott Zwiesel stemware, Cirillo’s Culinary Academy and Tannin Fine Wines come together for an interactive evening of fun, food, wine and learning...best of all you will walk away with the 5 high quality glasses you drink from during the evening (a $75+tax value alone!).
Did you know that wine tastes different depending on which glass you use? You may think this is the stuff of "les snobbes" but at this event you will taste the difference - and you may never drink from an incorrect piece of glassware again (remember - you get to keep 5 glasses per person)!
What you get with this WagJag
- Instruction and commentary from award winning hosts
- 5 wines from around the world - both reds and whites
- 5 Schott Zwiesel glasses (the correct stemware for each wine)
- 5 appetizer creations of Chef John Cirillo paired with each wine
At this April 20th event you'll not only taste great food and wine, but you'll find out how these two staples of life compliment each other, and watch out, you just might learn something along the way. Co-hosting the evening along with Michael will be Lloyd Thistle of Fortessa of Canada and chef John Cirillo. This trio of experts in the same room is not to be missed!
About Michael Pinkus
| Micheal Pinkus is an award wining wine writer who is the head writer and Grape Guy behind OntarioWineReview.com; he is also the Vice President of the Wine Writers' Circle of Canada. In 2009 Michael placed 4th in the Tasting Challenge held in Toronto, against 250 other amateur and professional winos, and most recently was awarded the Promoting the Promoters Media Award at Cuvee 2010. It is Michael's desire to educate, inspire and encourage others to grow their own love and enthusiasm for wine in a fun and light-hearted way, taking the mystique out of the wine experience – Michael’s philosophy is that is it your palate that ultimately makes the decision. | ![]() |
About Schott Zwiesel
Schott Zwiesel stemware is the inventor of Tritan Technology – a crystal that uses a titanium alloy instead of lead thus hardening the surface making it resistant to scratching and dishwasher corrosion. Schott Zwiesel stemware has a breakage rate that is substantially lower than traditional crystal glasses with the same durability and clarity..."this is not your grandma's crystal, it's not your mama's crystal either, this stuff has to be experienced to be believed." (Michael Pinkus)
