Since its first performance under the big top 25 years ago, the baroque and flamboyant "Alegria" has returned with a bit of re-imagination to once again stun audiences with its timeless story, Grammy-nominated music and classic acrobatics.
Members can access tickets for select performances Sept. 22 - October 18 under the big top tent at Ontario Place.Â
"Alegria" -- named after the Spanish word for "joy" -- is a reinterpretation of the classic power struggle between old and new. The soundtrack for the show is Cirque du Soleil's best-selling album of all time. Variety hailed the original production as "unimaginable" and full of "how'd-they-do-that amazement."
