Sensory deprivation tanks contain water that is saturated with 1100 pounds of epsom salt, creating a very similar environment to the dead sea.
The salt water solution is 35% salt, making it about twelve times more buoyant than regular ocean water. This allows the individual to float weightlessly and effortlessly on the surface of the water.
The temperature of the water is set to 34C – same as the human skin.
There are several mental, physical and performance benefits to floatation.
Midnight Sun is the only float centre in the GTA offering the Deluxe Couples Float Room.
It is 8 ft by 7 ft and is larger than a king size bed. The float room is equipped with music, fiber optic stars on the ceiling and a soothing light. These options can all can be controlled from inside the float room, if you choose to float in complete silence and darkness. It is a great experience to share with your special someone.
Floating in the same tank with your partner is an amazing bonding experience, and can help those who suffer from anxiety or other fears, to totally relax in the deluxe float room.
