Port Hope Golf and Country Club was originally a 9-hole Scottish links course back in the day (if that day was in 1900, say). It now boasts an 18-hole, par 69/70 course, nestled within the lush forest setting of Penryn Park and flanked by the waters of Lake Ontario. The semi-private, championship links feature generous fairways, gently-contoured greens and an intricate design that allows you to play at different elevation levels.

Tips for Success on the Greens

Careful on hole 9, a 508-yard par 5 that sets up right to left along Penryn Village and features two treacherous bunkers on the left side. Port Hope recommends directing your tee shot towards the area on the right side of the fairway and then favoring the right side of the fairway with your second shot. Look for the Canadian flag at the back of the green to indicate the pin placement on this difficult hole.
