Tips for Success on the Greens

Take heed of the water features, present at 10 of 18 holes. Hole 8 is considered the longest and toughest par 4 on the course: not only do you have to play it into the wind, it's guarded by four fairway bunkers. Rockway recommends starting with a well-placed drive, followed by a second long or short shot down the right side of the fairway. If you falter at this hole, redeem yourself at the 10th, which offers the best chance for a birdie, or the 18th, Rockway's signature hole and one of the few finishing par 3s in the Niagara Peninsula.

Golfers can gear up for their first round of the season with two buckets worth of practice on the driving range, then unwind afterwards with a tasting for two at Rockway's winery.
