A visit to the hot springs is requisite, where 40?C (104?F) therapeutic mineral waters ease away stress, and a short drive down the Kootenay Parkway (one of the most stunning drives in the world) will bring you to Banff and Lake Louise. For those with more daring spirits, there are plenty of rock climbing opportunities as well as paragliding and hang gliding adventures that launch from the peak of Mount Swansee. Wolf, coyote, cougar and wolverine linger in the nearby mountain sanctuaries and make for ideal photo opportunities.
