Beautiful horses graze on green pastures in the west of Hamilton, inviting visitors to see from new heights. Groups of two, four or up to 10 people can hop on and ride at Big Creek Stables, where all the horses and staff undergo extensive training. Couples and families of four begin their riding experience with an introductory lesson in basic riding techniques to ensure maximum safety before venturing out into the scenic grounds. The introductory lessons include a brief explanation of what the rider needs to do prior the ride. Riders must be at least six years old to trail ride and accommodations can be made for those who are over 200 lbs. Each rider should come with boots that have a heal (not mandatory, but highly recommended) and dress appropriately for the weather. Sandals are not permitted and certified helmets are provided.
Big Creek Stables has been in business for six years. All of their horses are kept in excellent care and given special training. In addition to riding lessons and horseback riding, they offer pony rides, kids' day programs and birthday parties.
