Lace up your hiking boots and head into the wild with WSC Survival Skills. The fun and educational edible plants hike instructs hikers about how to identity different species of plants, trees, shrubs, ferns and lichens. Learn about the uses of wild species and how to distinguish poisonous and toxic species, health concerns, ethical foraging and species preference while wandering through a wooded area in Niagara, Hamilton, Guelph or Toronto. Alternately, sign up for WSC's introductory survival skills course, where topics include proper fire building, where to find shelter and how to build an emergency kit. Both the plant hike and outdoor survival session include a digital course booklet so that you can have all the important tips handy when you need them.
WSC Survival School is instructed by dedicated teachers who have the experience to back up what they teach. They offer a variety of programs and certificates in everything from backpacking, to winter camping, advanced survival skills and even log cabin building, just to name a few.
