Description
Depending on your age and magical abilities, popular modes of transit vary from automobile to pogo stick to Floo Powder. For a family-friendly travel method, try today's WagJag: $19 for a family pass for up to five people at Halton County Radial Railway (a $38 value).
Enjoy unlimited rail-riding time with a family pass, valid for up to two adults plus three kids to ride the Halton County Radial Railway. Formed in 1953, the railway was created when a group of men wanted to save a TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) streetcar from being sent to the scrap yard. More than 50 years later, you can ride 2 km of scenic track (complete with a stop at their famous ice cream shop) while learning about electric railways in Canada and viewing historic streetcar memorabilia (their oldest rail car dates from the late 1800s). Each family pass also includes access to the historical Rockwood station, display barns featuring track cars from all over Canada and the U.S., and the gift shop stocked with books, toys and train sets made for kids and kids at heart.
