Description
Stand up paddle boarding is an effective method for navigating water, just as holding on to a helium balloon in one hand and a battery-powered fan in the other is great way to travel high up in the open air. Take part in a sport that doubles as a mode of transportation with today's WagJag from Aerial Kiteboarding:
- $49 for a half-day (4-hour) stand up paddleboarding lesson and tour on the Squamish River (a $100 value)
- $79 for a full-day (8-hour) stand up paddleboarding lesson and tour on the Squamish River (a $160 value)
See the sights and wildlife of Squamish as you never have before atop a stand up paddleboard (SUP). A workout for your core as well as a refreshing way to take to the sea, SUP allows you to cruise open waters, surf on waves and float down rivers without the need for bulky equipment or a motor. A 1.5-hour lesson and tour teaches students basic techniques like board mounting, body position and stance, then an experienced staff member leads the way across a section of the Howe Sound to the Squamish River closely alongside a large mountain face. Post-tour, graduated paddle boarders have the rest of the morning or day to drift down the river themselves, enjoying the odd appearance from an eagle or deer grazing on the shore. Both half and full-day experiences begin and end at Nexen Beach.
