The Samurai’s Daughter brings the Japanese folktale Hime with the Big Hat to life with Takeda Marionette artistry.

Follow Ume, a mysterious girl hiding under a large rice bowl, and Itharou, the Shogun’s son, as they journey together to break the spell, discovering that happiness comes from kindness, courage, and honesty. Guided by Senju Takeda, this elegant puppet performance delights both children and adults with its beauty, precision, and timeless message.
